Overseas Famous is a management platform that provides resources and support for athletes who are about to go and play abroad, are already playing abroad, or retiring from a professional career abroad. We help them succeed in all facets of their careers - academic, professional, financial, and personal. The platform offers paying members access to pre-departure advising and preparation, post-career advising and preparation, media, consulting, branding and job placement.
The aim of Overseas Famous is to help US-based athletes maximize their overseas experiences, starting from high school, by preparing them for the proper social media presence, obtaining access to the correct agency/talent management, and developing coaching and academic models to help athletes maximize their earning potential.

Kevin Owens, Founder
Kevin Owens is an American former professional basketball player, writer, and the host and founder of Overseas Famous.
In 2021, Owens published a book about his career as an overseas athlete titled, Overseas Famous. The book is a memoir about his nine year career as a for-hire athlete traveling the globe. The book takes the reader around the world through the eyes of a “regular guy” in a 7-foot body.
Owens developed Overseas Famous after a long struggle with depression upon retirement. He had trouble finding work and ended up in a career that was not what he wanted. He created this community as a way to help athletes avoid the struggles he, and many other athletes, face post career.

Jon Hunt, Head of Production
Jon is the head of production at Overseas Famous. He is the Executive Producer of the Overseas Famous Podcast and handles all production of D-5 and any documentary shorts by Overseas Famous.
Jon is also a professional DJ and engineer. He is the creator of Mustang Media and owns his own consulting firm, helping out on different musical projects. He also has experience in announcing and acting.

Michela Hall, Producer
Michela is the Chief Operating Officer at Overseas Famous. She manages our office and heads up the Social Media Department and the Podcast.
Michela recently obtained her MFA in Media Arts & Technology. She completed her BA in Sports Information and Media with a minor in Business Management in 2019.
In addition to content creation and production insight for Overseas Famous, she is a freelance media contributor specializing in videography and photography.
